Job description
The Pediatrician should have experience or the capacity to learn and manage an EHR, manage and supervise mid-level providers and supporting staff, have incredible bedside manners with a problem-solving approach, and be able to foster long-term relationships. They should provide the absolute highest level of quality and evidence-based pediatric primary care to the families that team up with us. We provide a professional practice team known to focus on quality and productivity while investing in resources to enhance the patient experience, health screening, and quality of care.
Principal Duties
- Provide high-quality medical care to the pediatric population from birth through adolescence with patient’s evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment including routine wellness care, management of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Order and interpret appropriate lab tests. Review and respond to test results and follow-up coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, charting, and documentation as well as a professional demeanor along with a warm and welcoming bedside manner. Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities (Spanish preferred not required)
- Work independently and cooperatively with physicians, mid-level providers as well as supporting staff.

- Must have the ability to manage several assignments simultaneously and prioritize appropriately, to cope successfully with diversity and complexity, to integrate seemingly unrelated data and to reduce complex notions to relatively simple terms.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with peers, staff members, patients and others and to document using appropriate vocabulary, grammar and work usage.
- Must have the ability to achieve outcomes with respect to the coordinating of patient care activities with others.
- Must have the ability to respond and react immediately with unimpeded auditory perception of verbal/vocal instructions and auditory auscultation such as codes or emergency situations.
- Must have the ability to respond and react immediately to visual observation and in emergency situations.
- Must be sufficiently mobile to access patients on different sides of exam tables, reach patients at different heights and positions from ground to six feet above the ground.
- Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop or bend for extended periods of time varying on patient schedules and needs.
- Must have normal range of hearing, vision, manual dexterity, and physical capabilities consistent with a standard physician practice.
- Must have the capacity to document in a clear and concise fashion and according to JCAHO standards.
Experience & Education
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Mississippi.
- May require Board certification.
- Must maintain current state and federal DEA certification.
